With the Download Version, you download the DRM-free CSS-free DVD-images of the course, burn your own DVDs, and we mail you DVD covers, DVD stickers, and even a Library Case in a $3 envelope, so you get a complete physical set. The World Trade Organization agrees that you can’t impose customs duties on an electronic transmission, so it’s perfectly legal to avoid customs this way. The DVD covers are then a separate product, and aren’t worth more than the paper they’re printed on, so you won’t have to pay customs on them.

If you buy the Download Version, a “Replacement Covers” product will automatically be added to your Shopping Cart for your convenience, but if you don’t want covers shipped to you at all, you can simply remove it from your Shopping Cart before checkout.

The Envelope Version consists of all the DVDs, all DVD Covers and a Library Case, and only excludes the 7 plastic DVD cases, which means that it fits in an envelope. We offer this so you can pay less for shipping, and some also theorize that it helps with customs. We don’t know if the latter is true, we fully declare the contents.

The last 3 DVDs in each course are sealed. As long as they’re unopened, you can return the course within 14-days after receiving it for a refund less shipping and a 15% restocking fee (we have to throw out the course, so that’s what you’re paying for). But you should be warned that we’ve only gotten a handful of returns ever, from people who really had no idea what they bought.

If you get the generic “Unable to process transaction – the transaction was declined” message, the card is being declined in real-time by your bank, either due to insufficient funds or fraud concerns. Leave the browser window open, call your bank on the number on the back of your card (most banks have 24-hour customer service for Credit Cards), and tell them to allow the transaction. Then hit Submit on our website again, and your order will go through.

Yes, simply select PayPal as the payment method during checkout, and you’ll be redirected to the PayPal website during checkout to complete payment.

Yes, yes, yes and yes. First, you need to place an order into our system, so go through checkout, and use the payment method “Money Order / Check” as the payment method. This will place the order On Hold, after which we’ll contact you with payment instructions and the final amount to be wired or mailed.

Yes, but we will have to hold the order until the funds are fully cleared (7-10 business days), so this is a very slow way to pay. If you don’t have a Credit Card, we always suggest to have a friend place the order on your behalf and reimburse them – it truly is the fastest way. Alternatively, we suggest a Western Union wire, because it’s same day (see above).

We are incorporated and have our entire business presence in the State Of Nevada, so Nevada residents have to pay 8.10% Clark County Sales Tax. You don’t have to pay Sales Tax in any other state, although some states want you to self-report a Use Tax from buying in another state – it sounds like a joke, but there you go.

We accept purchase orders from all major universities, K-12 schools, Community Colleges and professional schools in the US and Canada. We do not typically accept purchase orders from international institutions because we have no way to collect. But if you’re with a big credible institution in another country, drop us an email, and we’ll take a look.

We consider any classroom use under 30 minutes to be Fair Use, and actually a kind of PR, so thank you very much! But for longer use, we require a Public Performance License. Our PPLs are available as either Single Teacher or Schoolwide, they are perpetual, and cover all Hollywood Camera Work courses under a single license. Read this page for more information.

We don't share your information with anyone, and we don't send you emails any time a thought pops into our heads. We only send out an email if we have a new product, or if it's something really important, so you're looking at maybe 1 email a year. In each such an email, you can self-service remove yourself, and you'll never hear from us again unless you place a new order.

Yes, we store your credit card information for a few days in a highly encrypted format, so that we can access it if a change needs to be made to your order. The information is stored with multiple levels of heavy encryption, inside a vault inside a vault, and the data is automatically flushed after a few days. Only two people at Hollywood Camera Work know the encryption keys to access this data.

BuySAFE is a 3rd party bonding company that makes an independent guarantee that a merchant will deliver as promised. Frankly, we just have it on the site because we like the Site Seal, and you’re already fully protected by your Credit Card Company. But some people buy this protection anyway. We always wonder why people don’t consider that if we were out to scam you, we’d surely also scam you by charging extra for a 3rd party bond we actually made ourselves. The internet is a strange place.
